Burning

Some burn like the Sun –
Lighting up the Universe.
Some burn like a Candle –
Dispelling Darkness.
Some like a wild forest fire –
Devouring all that comes.

And I?

I burn like the fire
In an underground coal mine.
Burning, burning, burning
For ages
Consuming coal and –
Adding to Global Warming.
